A Holiday Weekend to Remember at the 2025 Hickory Christmas Show

What a weekend it was at the Hickory Christmas Show. From festive performances to incredible shopping and family-friendly activities, this year’s event truly captured the spirit of the season and brought our community together in the best way.

One of the standout features was the Festival of Trees, which once again impressed visitors with creativity and holiday charm. Congratulations to this year’s winners:

  1. The Nutcracker Forest by Aden Cranford
  2. Jingle Bells and Wagging Tails by Lisa Boyett
  3. “Cuckoo” for Christmas by Ed Gudat

The entertainment throughout the weekend was exceptional. Performances from Louis Nunnery School of Ballet, Raise the Barre Dance Academy, Royal Dance Collective, Carolina Style Chorus, Ann Freeman Dance Academy, Sims Country Cloggers, and the Carolina Natural Pageant Christmas Queens kept audiences smiling and set a festive tone across the show floor.

Families especially loved Santa’s Workshop, where kids of all ages could write letters to Santa, visit Santa & Mrs. Claus, and try their hand at soap and wood carving. Special appearances by the Grinch and Mr. Cow from Chick-fil-A added extra fun and surprise moments throughout the weekend. Additional highlights included a coloring contest and a children’s art display featuring artwork from local schools.

Celebrating Our Vendors

We were proud to recognize vendors who went above and beyond to support the show and bring holiday cheer to the event floor. This year’s Show Ambassador Awards were presented to Water Horse Custom Prints and Ruddy Roots Mercantile for their outstanding promotion and support of the Hickory Christmas Show.

We also presented Holiday Spirit Awards to the vendors whose booths truly embodied the festive season. Congratulations to Aqua B Boutique, 2-J Curated, and Sweet Granite Farm for their creativity and holiday spirit.

Shopping was a major highlight! The show featured over 200 vendors offering unique, mostly handmade gifts—perfect for finding something special for everyone on your list. And the food did not disappoint. This year’s German-themed menu was a hit, along with favorites like strudel, wine slushies, dirty sodas, and plenty of other sweet and savory treats.

A heartfelt thank-you goes out to all of our sponsors for helping make this event possible:
Southern Industries Home Improvements, Allison & White Property Management and Realty, Hickory Buzz, Leaf Filter Gutter Protection, Renewal by Andersen, Catawba Valley Wood Carvers, Valley Hills Mall, and John Yang Photography.

Thank you to everyone who attended, performed, sponsored, volunteered, and shopped. The Hickory Christmas Show continues to grow into a holiday tradition we’re proud to share with the community, and we’re already looking forward to next year.
